OK - 1st off - HOLY FUUDKFULKUSLDFKUUUELPOOP!!!!!!!!!!!!! This game is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This by far is the best 1st day experience I’ve had with a game in YEARS!!! This game pulls you in and refuses to give you even a split second to breathe. The multi-player is absolutely awesome - truly tremendous - freakin’ SWEET! The environments they put you in are already addictive enough but then they added a HUGE amount of challenges, long list of titles & emblems not to mention an absolute laundry list of the best weapons in the world! Honestly my favorite part are the killstreaks rewards - and I LOVE the care-package - once you get 4 kill killstreak you get a care-package you can drop anywhere on the map - a heli quick flies in and drops off a box - a wonderful magic box that could have any of the killstreak bonuses in it for you to use - attack helicopters, predator missiles, harrier strikes, stealth bomber strikes to even an AC130 attack. Totally amazing…
So yeah I didn’t play the single player on well… any of the CoDs before cause well I’m all about pwning the noobs as you all know but this single player looks pretty good. Supposedly the action is really cool. I’ll probably try it this time.
There is a small Co-op (2 player) section that I just ended up soloing through some of it on. But it seems pretty cool - I did try it with a buddy for a few minutes one day but it was really laggy…
The only negative about the multi-player is the new auto matching system. You basically just click on what kind of match you want to play in (TDM, Dom, HQ etc) and it find a server for you to go to. It is pretty buggy and kinda weird.
But yeah I went nuts and played 6 hours straight the 1st day (yesterday) and got to level 25. I’m very proud to say in almost any match I ended up in I was the highest level.
I’ve sat and played WoW for entire days straight and not felt as dizzy and tired as I did after several hours of this game.
Ok so like whatever you can make fun of me if you want - that’s fine - I know I’m going to sound like I’m jumping on the band-wagon and well maybe I am!
But Windows 7 ROX, and Rox with Metal!!!
So me and Byl got Win7 a few days early - it officially came out today but we got it around Tuesday or so. Dude we got our boxes completely formatted with Win7 fully installed in like 30 min! It was insane!
You can do crazy cool things to it to make is super speedy! Microsnork is finally starting to get that the geekerds who use Linux so much their refrigerator runs a micro version of Ubuntu might just be right! We need custom-ability - dude I was able to literally uninstall Internet Explorer COMPLETELY from the box and just use Google Chrome - and it wasn’t a fake-out uninstall - I checked - it is totally off my box - plus a couple other things like that stupid Windows Media Center etc.
ok zomg - Champions Online turned out to be sorta gay. Don’t get me wrong the character creation was freakin’ awesome - it was totally “Spore” like in the ability to customize everything - I ended up creating the max amount of level 1 characters then realized uh yeah the game itself was sorta yeah well gay… Pretty much everything, no matter what kind of character you had, boiled down to really simplistic game mechanics and lots of really stupid game material - I mean some of the NPCs actually said stuff about “how cool is this MMO” kinda thing… yeah gay…
Dude this game is crazy! Yeah sure it has “new game lag” - “new game bugs” - “weird AI pathing behavior” etc. but 95% of the gear in the game is craft-able, you get mounts fast that include horses, ATVs and stuff and it is one huge world like WoW (not 40 zillion little world copies like Guild Wars, Age of Conan, or well even Champions Online). The best part is has a large First Person SHOOTER component! It has Pistols & Rifles that you actually have to aim to hit anything - and it is FUN!!!
The game looks great and the best part is it is set in a post-apocalyptic world!!! Yeah I had to look up how to speeeel that

Ok - so I got Left 4 Dead via Steam the other day… Ok I know I’m a little behind the scene on this as this game came out a long time ago - but I’m not allowed to play Zombie games around Byl.
He swears the end of the world will most certainly involve Zombies and he calls these games “Apocalypse Simulators” - yeah I know he’s touchy on the subject… anyway… So I bought this game due to what I heard about the multiplayer cause they did some cool mods on it - actually they pretty much ripped off the old “Aliens vs. Predator” for most of them - but I really liked the Survival modes etc.
Problem #1 - you can’t see a list of servers to join… Ok maybe there is a way you could tell me - but right now in game the only way I see how to connect is to a “grouping” of servers via the map choice - meaning you can’t really have a favorite server etc. Now I realize these are “temp” type servers cause of the whole 4 player thing (or 8 for 4 survivors and 4 infected in the vs mode) but damn man…
So here is Problem #2 - through - Problem #7825683 - The VS. mode is my FAVORITE - but F&CK these noobs who think the are somethin’ special in this damn game cause they can hit the vote button…
95% of the time I got “voted off” the map and out of the server…
This was if I PWND as a Survivor, PWND as an Infected, or stood around like a dork - no matter what I did 3-5 min into the match some jack monkey would start the vote and people auto hit “yup” and get me kicked off… F&CK these noobs… yeah I’m pissed at this game for allowing any damn 13 year old to say “he’s too good” or “oh he is raging on me” or better yet “he’s hunting me down purposely cause I’m hurt” - I’M A DAMN ZOMBIE OF COURSE I’M HUNTING YOU DOWN YA DUCK BISCUIT!!!!
Anyway I’m done with it - I’m going back to Call of Duty where people are real FPS’ers and have to get better to deal with the pwnage or die trying.
That’s right - TAKE THE PWNAGE AND ACCEPT THAT I’M BETTER THAN YOU YA WUSS!!!
Me & Byl are of course always tied, for life it seems, to WoW - but since we’re big Comic Book peeps we’ve got to check this out. City of Heroes & City of Villains was pretty ghey, and this is by the same company, so we’ll see.
I’ll write a post on it in a few weeks when I finally make it through the character creation part of the game - LOL - supposedly there are literally billions of combination configurations.
Ok - this one is really annoying… Are they TRYING to make us hardcore raiders hate the game or WHAT?!?!?!?
All tokens (minus Triumph from ToC) are Conquest?!? Really?!? You can just run heroics now and get Ulduar 25 Gear??!?! Really?!!? WHY oh WHY??!!!?? So why did we grind Ulduar as a raiding guild for a few months then - anyone, anyone? Dude when we run a heroic I don’t even have to Heal BYL the Tank - we are so mac’d out they are pointless - but the heroic daily gives Triumph tokens (Raiding Tokens damn it)… I’m at a loss…
And what is with ToC anyway? The regular 5 man drops ALL EPIX - REALLY?!?!? WHY?!?!?
5 Man Regular, 5 Man Heroic, 10 Man Regular, 10 Man Heroic, 25 Man Regular, 25 Man Heroic - IN ONE FREAKIN’ ROOM!?!?!?
Dude when we did the BWL grind for a year we were like “zomg I’m so sick of seeing this place every week” - but BWL was HUGE, MC was HUGER-ERER - ToC is one FRAK’N ROOM!!!!!

Ok - so you prolly remember (or scroll down) to my rant on PuGs running end game raids with ease - i.e. Naxx. Well that is probably finally over. The only wrinkle is that PuGs were running end game for soOoOoooooo long that they think they can steamroll Ulduar too and people are already complaining like the little nubs they are.
My only issue is now that there are Dual Specs the fighting over loot is even worse than before… Many of our Guild Hosted raids had tons of drops “not main spec needed” so dual spec started getting geared up. But *not* ya got the whiners out there now yelling that “no no no that prot stuff is for my official offspec - gimme gimme gimme” - I hate these biznitches!!!!!! Roll main spec only (THE JOB YOU ARE CURRENTLY DOING IN THE RAID) or shut the hell up and leave the RL (me) alone!!!!
As an update my Resto Druid is 80, my BM Hunter is 80 and I’m working on the Shadow Priest who is currently 76. Byl is our Guild’s MT with his Prot Pally at 80.
Dual spec is coolio btw though - my epix Resto druid is now instantly an EPIX BoOoOooOoooomKIN too!!!!!
